“Ocean Calm” was created 

specifically for the client’s space. The project was commissioned in June 2017 and was completed and then installed in August 2017.

 

The client was looking for a 

non-abstract statement piece that would compliment their home’s architecture without distracting from its design. Determining a suitable subject matter initially proved

challenging, but with inspiration from an original photograph of a horizon sunset, it was decided to create a window effect, reminiscent of their lake home’s beautiful lake view.

 

The open staircase called for a large continuous piece of art. To properly fill the space, and create fluidity 

between the two sections of the staircase the scene was separated into a stunning triptych.
